Amsterdam is tailor made for canal tours, built as it is on over 100 km of waterways. VIP Amsterdam Water Taxi specialises in transport by boat. In addition to their very popular Water Taxi service, they also arrange private boat tours. You can put together your own customised boat tour or join a themed cruise. Catering (snacks and drinks) can also be provided.

Available private boat tours for Amsterdam: Six boats available for private boat tours and private hire, each one is spacious, comfortably heated and with bathroom facilities on board. Private parties are catered for groups of up to 44 people, and everything in between.

Important Note – if you are thinking of hiring a boat for Queens Day 30th April - there is a surcharge of 50% for this date only on the prices quoted below, due to very high demand.

Rates for Private Boat Tours (prices valid until 31.03.2010):
Up to 8 people: €70 for first 30 minutes and €40 for every subsequent 30 minutes.
9 to 12 people: €120 for first 30 minutes and €70 for every subsequent 30 minutes.
13 to 25 people: €255 for first hour and €100 for every subsequent 30 minutes.
26 to 44 people: €270 for first hour and €100 for every subsequent 30 minutes.

Customise your boat trip: You can select your boat, based on the number of guests. You have the option to add a range of snacks and /or drinks.
A full bar can be made available on request. You have the option to pay for drinks individually or on a fixed price per person basis (prices from €8.50 per person).
You can choose to add appetizers and snacks, ranging from cheese to tapas. Basic option costs €3 with the deluxe tapas option costing circa €16 per person. A lunchbox menu is available for €15.50 per person.
A personal guide service can also be provided (€150 per guide for up to 4 hours).
