Fabulous and Vintage is a hidden treasure in Amsterdam’s vibrant Pijp district, offering Vintage furniture, lamps, accessories and Fabulous bespoke bags, bracelets, clothing, vintage shoes and other fashion accessories. Set in a courtyard amongst old Amsterdam houses, the location is a wonderful surprise and definitely worth the extra effort to find.
Fabulous is about high quality, unique fashion pieces including beautiful bead-woven bracelets, one-of-a-kind wrist bags and fashion originals, each one hand made and designed by the owner herself, who is passionate about combining traditional techniques with high fashion. Fabulous also has a large varied collection of barely worn shoes and boots, including some great thigh boots which belong in every woman’s wardrobe. Bespoke, made-to-order bracelets are also available on request.
Vintage is about retro furniture originals from the 50’s to the late 70’s. This includes a wide variety of lights with designs from Murano, Raak, Verner Panton and Gino Sarfatti. There are great, reasonably priced sideboards by Cees Braakman for Pastoe and chairs and sofas by Friso Kramer, Martin Visser and Spectrum.
You see that the owner has a good eye for classic pieces. It is almost impossible to walk away empty handed.
This collection is continuously changing and growing. You will find that the prices are surprisingly good and the quality is high! While visiting the shop, take a good look around, there is something to catch your eye in every corner, including some paintings from George Heidweiller.
