The Capsicum store is located in the ancient bustling old centre of Amsterdam, literally minutes from the Dam Square. The shop is bright, spacious, full of atmosphere and colour, with an array of exquisite textiles in which you can literally loose yourself. Every type of fabric for the home interior is available here. The vast collection includes bedspreads, cushion covers in cotton, silk and linen. A stunning range of curtain fabrics, kimonos, kurtas, napkins, place mats, scarves for men and women and table clothes.
The extensive fabric collection includes a wide range of cottons, linens and silks – from traditionally embroidered to hand-woven ikat (tie and dye) to batik. For example, the wide range of table clothes includes the exquisite Jodhpur range, hand printed using wooden blocks.
If you are looking for custom-made curtains, Capsicum is a specialist in bespoke curtains. Most of the Capsicum fabrics can be made into curtains or blinds. There is a beautiful range of silk scarves– from silk herring bone to stunning hand embroidered beaded silk stoles to the sophisticated collection of scarves made from wild silk.
